Dance Experience

Early Years

I danced hiphop for 2 years starting when I was 7. Growing up with a bellydancing mom, I would sometimes get to perform on her shows with her. Though now I don't remember much of what I learned, I do have control over my body much better.

Candela Dance Troupe

I developed a passion for Latin dances. Bachata and Salsa are so incredibly fun. I help instruct from being part of the club's board. We have performed for events, at other schools, and have also been invited to perform at a dance club.

Harvard Ballroom

I competing internationally for the first time in Montreal. I started from the bottom and have been dancing for two years now. I still have much to learn, but I began socially dancing swing after having learned the ballroom version of swing. I devoted much of my 2019 summer to practicing Swing, learning new techniques and gaining experience both leading and following.

Harvard Radcliffe Modern Dance Company

As I often try new things, I joined HRMDC my sophomore fall. I have participated in performances and even planned to perform in the senior thesis of one of the members. Will hopefully link to some photos soon!

Singing Experience

MINHUET

MINHUET is a volunteer singing group that performed in hospitals and nursing homes during the semester. Since the semester of Spring 2020 got cut short, and the directors realized that the nursing homes could use some music, they put together videos from MINHUET members performing a piece in their homes. I sing Dream a Little Dream while playing the ukulele at around 15 minutes.

Radcliffe Choral Society

During my freshman year of college at Harvard, I challenged myself to audition for a choir. I had no previous formal singing experience, but I always loved the idea of making music with others through singing. I got so nervous the last day of auditions, I almost didn't go, but at the last second my friend walked with me there and watched me sign up. I still have a strange block when singing in front of others, but joining the Radcliffe Choral Society taught me so much about singing, like how to sight-read, and I had so much fun touring with them to Texas.

I have begun coding more frequently in my passtime. I also dedicated myself to challenging projects, like my walking robot project for one of my classes.

I enjoy design, video editing, and appreciating nature (still getting over my fear of bugs though).
